Electromagnetic flowmeters are suitable for measuring almost all electrically conductive liquids, as well as mud, paste and mud flow measurements. This is provided that the medium under test has at least a certain minimum conductivity. Temperature, pressure, viscosity and density have no effect on the measurement results.
It can also be used to measure corrosive media with the appropriate choice of pipe lining and electrode materials. Solid particles in the medium will not affect the measurement results.
