Heavy Rain Hits the City
On July 19, 2026, a sudden, extreme downpour once again put Shanghai to a severe test against urban waterlogging. That afternoon, strong thunderstorm clouds swept over the city. The observation station in Wujiaochang, Yangpu District, recorded a cumulative rainfall of 212.8 mm, with a maximum 1-hour rainfall of 104.5 mm, reaching the level of a “super-heavy rainstorm” over 24 hours. Among the city’s 662 rainfall monitoring stations, 3 reached the super-heavy rainstorm level, and 20 reached the heavy rainstorm level. Orange warnings for heavy rain, yellow warnings for hail, strong winds, and lightning were issued in succession, and the extreme weather instantly turned the city into a “sea-viewing mode.”
Urban waterlogging: prevention is better than emergency response. The key to “prevention” lies in “being able to see it, measure it accurately, and report it quickly.” The shortcomings of the traditional flood control model—relying on manual inspections and post-disaster emergency response—are prominent: dangers are only discovered after water has accumulated, missing the window for proactive measures; 24/7 monitoring of locations like underpasses, low-lying roads, underground garages, and manholes is impossible; and delayed warning transmission means a lack of real-time data to support pumping station scheduling, traffic control, and personnel evacuation. Faced with extreme weather like heavy rain, a smart waterlogging monitoring system with proactive warnings and comprehensive awareness has become a core necessity for building a resilient city.

01 Waterlogging All-in-One Machine: An Intelligent Monitoring Terminal Adapted for Urban Flood Control Scenarios
The MD-K986 Waterlogging All-in-One Machine is a professional, intelligent water level monitoring terminal adapted for urban flood control scenarios, meeting the SL651-2014 standard for hydrological monitoring data communication. Its core advantages are as follows:

03 Previous Project Case: Siyang County Urban Lifeline Safety Engineering Project
Flood-Prone Point Monitoring
This project is the first phase of the drainage special project for Siyang County’s Urban Lifeline Safety Engineering. Following the local “7+1″ comprehensive safety monitoring construction framework, MD-K986 Waterlogging All-in-One Machines were deployed at multiple key flood-prone road sections in the urban area to monitor regional waterlogging and accumulation. The monitoring data is uniformly integrated into the Siyang Urban Lifeline Supervision Platform, which can accurately identify waterlogging risks and provide timely warning information for drainage scheduling, effectively enhancing the county’s emergency response capability for waterlogging.
