To enhance the fire safety awareness of all employees and strengthen their emergency response capabilities in handling sudden fire incidents, thereby effectively safeguarding people’s lives and property, MEOKON, in conjunction with the park’s property management, organized a fire drill at the Baihe factory in November.
To ensure the smooth and efficient execution of the drill, MEOKON established a special command team. The overall commander, Mr. Xu, was responsible for overall planning and coordination; the team leaders for floors one to four were responsible for organizing, guiding, and ensuring the safety of their respective floors; five employees served as fire safety officers, completing preparatory work such as checking fire-fighting equipment and setting up simulated smoke before the drill. During the drill, they assisted in maintaining order and providing safety guidance throughout, and after the drill, they will evaluate and summarize the overall effectiveness.
As the alarm sounded, simulated smoke quickly filled the area, and the simulated fire drill officially began. All employees reacted promptly, and under the guidance of the floor supervisors, strictly followed fire safety procedures, remaining calm, crouching low, and covering their mouths and noses with wet towels or sleeves. They evacuated in an orderly manner along the designated evacuation routes to the safe assembly point between buildings 3 and 4 of the park. The team leaders on each floor quickly counted the number of people on their respective floors and reported the evacuation status to the overall commander, ensuring that everyone was accounted for.
During the fire extinguishing practical training session, park staff demonstrated the correct use of fire extinguishers, including the “lift, pull, grip, and press” method. Ten employees from Mingkong participated in the hands-on fire extinguishing exercise to gain practical skills in putting out initial fires. At the end of the exercise, the park manager summarized the details of the evacuation process, commented on the overall effectiveness of the drill, and disseminated knowledge about fire safety laws and regulations, further enhancing the participants’ awareness of fire safety.
This fire drill allowed all employees to become familiar with emergency procedures in case of a fire and enhanced their awareness of fire safety. In the future, Mingkong will continue to regularly conduct various safety training and drills, strengthening the company’s “firewall” for safe production and creating a safe, stable, and secure working environment for all employees.
